The Paulo Duarte Group and the Santarém Polytechnic Institute have established a protocol for creating synergies in the area of sharing scientific, technical and human knowledge and resources.
“At the Paulo Duarte Group, we see partnerships with universities as opportunities for cooperation, with benefits for both parties. We want to continue to be, for many young people, the gateway to the job market, as well as the possibility of creating actions for sharing and applying knowledge in practical cases, in our operations, and creating professional career opportunities,” says Carlos Barroso, Director of People and Organisation Management at the Paulo Duarte Group.
The respective protocol defined, among the actions to be carried out, models for curricular, extracurricular, scientific and technical internships.
The Polytechnic Institute of Santarém also defined the installation of a support system for the co-creation of innovation, creativity and entrepreneurship, promoting entrepreneurial spirit by training students and/or entrepreneurs with a view to increasing the quality of employment and creating innovative companies.
Throughout 2024, more than 20 students undertook internships at the Paulo Duarte Group, with some of them joining the Group’s staff.
