Graduated in Industrial Management and Engineering from ISCTE – Instituto Superior de Ciências do Trabalho e da Empresa, he has been the CEO of Paulo Duarte Group since 2018. Within the Group, he plays a highly active role in the day-to-day management of all operational aspects of the business, as well as the financial area.

Before taking on the position of CEO, he was responsible for the entire procurement unit.

Over the years, he has led several investments and managed diverse business areas, namely hospitality, catering and services.

He was a rugby player for 18 years, playing as a wing at the senior level for Clube Agronomia (AEIS Agronomia). Due to his leadership and team management skills, he was elected team captain and represented Portugal as part of the national rugby team.

Graduated in Industrial Management and Engineering from ISCTE – Instituto Superior de Ciências do Trabalho e da Empresa, he has been the CEO of Grupo Paulo Duarte since 2018. In addition to his active role in daily management, he is also responsible for the Group’s Strategic Sustainability Unit.

In 2018, he was recognized as one of the “40 Business Leaders of the Future,” an initiative by Expresso Journal and the Forum of Business Administrators and Managers.

A respected entrepreneur and an active voice in the sector, he served as President of ANTRAM – the National Association of Public Road Hauliers – between 2014 and 2020, and has since held the position of Vice-President. In 2022, he further strengthened his institutional involvement by being elected Vice-President of CCP – the Portuguese Confederation of Commerce and Services, a position he still holds today, contributing to the representation and promotion of Portuguese businesses.

He has also published articles in the national press and has been a frequent guest speaker in Portugal and Spain at congresses and seminars on topics such as the future of the transport and logistics sector, sustainability in the industry, road safety, among many others.

Over the past years, he has led investment management across different business areas, including hospitality, catering, and services.

With a strong connection to sports, he played Rugby for 20 years as a Prop at the senior level for Clube de Agronomia (AEIS Agronomia). He was once described by the Club as “the most experienced player on the squad” and as an important pillar—both literally and figuratively—thanks to his leadership on the field. During this period, he earned five caps representing Portugal on the national Rugby team.
